Therapeutic rest in Jermuk

 

Located in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia - 173 km from Yerevan, the city of Jermuk is one
of the most famous resort areas not only in Armenia, but throughout the South Caucasus
region. In a city with a mild climate, there are about 40 hot springs, rich in various micro
elements and minerals. The water of these springs has unique healing properties and is able to
heal from a wide variety of diseases. In addition to health resorts and sanatoriums, Jermuk is
famous for its magnificent nature, especially the Jermuk waterfall. There are also a lot of cultural
and historical sights and monuments of antiquity.
The tour program includes:
Day 1: Airport-excursion within Yerevan
Meeting at the airport, introductory excursion in Yerevan, visiting several sights: the Republic
Square, the Historical Museum of Armenia, the Cascade complex, Swan Lake, as well as the
National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
Day 2: Yerevan-Garni- Geghard-Yerevan
Visiting the pagan temple of Garni, the Symphony of Stones, the Khosrov Reserve, as well as
the medieval monastery complex of Geghard. Dinner in the house of one of the local hospitable
residents, with traditional national cuisine and local wine.
Day 3: Khor Virap-Noravank- Tatev-Jermuk
Excursion to Khor Virap, Noravank, Tatev monastery complex, as well as to the world's longest
ropeway "Wings of Tatev". The final destination is the city of Jermuk (the name of the
sanatorium).
4-7- 11-day rest and treatment in the sanatorium of Jermuk.
Day 11: Departure from Jermuk towards the world's largest khachkar complex in Noratus village
of the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. A trip to the blue-eyed Lake Sevan, as well as a visit to
Hayravank are planned. Return to Yerevan after lunch in one of the local restaurant complexes.
Day 12: Departure from Yerevan to Holy Echmiadzin with stops at the temple of Zvartnots, the
Cathedral of Echmiadzin, the churches of St. Shoghakat and St. Gayane. Lunch in one of
Yerevan restaurants.
Transfer to the airport.
