The tour program includes:
9:00 - Departure from Yerevan to Shirak region.
10:30 - Visiting the churches “Yot Verq” (or “Seven wounds”), Surb Nshan, house museums of
Mher (Frunzik) Mkrtchyan, Hovhannes Shiraz, Avetiq Isahakyan and Dzitoghtsyans. Excursion
around Charles Aznavour square and Rustaveli Street.
16:00 - Monastery of Marmashen. It is located in the namesake village on the left bank of
Akhuryan River. The monastery consists of two buildings - Katoghike and small churches
attached. Once it was a well-known medieval Armenian religious structure.
17:00 - The monastery complex of Harichavank. It consists of the churches of St. Grigor (7th
century) and St. Virgin. In the monastery there was a school, in which during 1887-1889 studied
a well-known Armenian writer Avetiq Isahakyan.
19:00 - Return to Yerevan.
